Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream - Amazing!
Effortless Elegance: A Quick and Polished Look
Hello, sister sirens and make up mavens! Ever find yourself looking for a makeup routine that's both swift and sophisticated, especially tailored for our more refined skin? Well, you're in for a treat! Today, we're exploring the Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream-Gel Bronzer – a true gem for those of us embracing the grace of our mature years.
The Perfect Shades for Every Skin Tone
First things first, let's talk about color. Chanel has blessed us with three divine shades for the Les Beiges Bronzing Cream. For your reference, I’m a fair to medium olive skin tone and I use 390 Soleil Tan Bronze. I will move to 392 if I use a face tanner this summer.
390 – Soleil Tan Bronze: A light, sun-kissed caress, perfect for a gentle glow.
392 - Soleil Tan Medium Bronze: For that golden midday sun feel.
395 – Soleil Tan Deep Bronze: A deeper embrace of the sun, for a more pronounced radiance.
And when I say blessed, I really mean blessed. Normally, I link a product straight to the brand's website, however this is such a luscious and wonderfully blending bronzer, the last time I checked Chanel was s sold out! So I have included the link to Ulta for you in case that happens again. Yes! It is that good! 🥰
Why Cream Over Powder?
Powder bronzers, while lovely, can sometimes fall flat on mature skin. But Chanel’s cream-gel formula? It's like a second skin, only better. You'll get that velvety finish that feels light and looks utterly natural. I stumbled upon this treasure amidst my usual Chanel favorites – lipsticks, balms, eyeliners – and it was love at first pat.
A Routine as Quick as It Is Chic
Here’s a look at my "makeup in minutes" routine. I’ve honed it down between 5 and 10 minutes:
Start Fresh: The key to great make up for mature skin, is a great cleansing/moisturizing routine. After your morning cleanse and SPF (always SPF!), correct any under-eye darkness with Charlotte Tilbury’s Color Corrector. Warm the corrector between your ring fingers and tap back and forth across that dark under eye area until blended. Whatever is left over tap on your eyelids.
The Star Product: Load up the BK 111 Dense Bronzer brush by swirling in the bronzer, dot on the back of your hand to remove the excess then tap the Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream-Gel Bronzer across your hooded eyelids blending upward toward the end of your eyebrow, hairline around forehead, top of cheekbones, and just under the jawline, and down the turkey "gobble-ness" that is the front of my neck. Whatever is left on the brush is used for the sides of my nose, being careful to stay closer to the top of the side of the nose, so that I don’t inadvertently make my nose look wider. Blend, blend and again I say, blend.
(Note that when I mention dot and blend, I mean go back and forth or whatever direction you need the make up to go – never downward, we don’t want to help gravity do its thing - just don’t swipe the brush across the skin disturbing any foundation underneath. Remember, it's all about blending seamlessly, the bronzer brush does a wonderful job blending when you tap back and forth. Add more or blend in areas needed.)
Blush: A bit of cream blush dotted with my fingers down the side of my temple hairline, around my cheek to the middle of the iris, and a little on the hooded parts of my eye patting the blush with the BK 105 Large Buffer between the under-eye, blush and Chanel bronzer to make it seamless. Then just a tad of blush across the bridge of my nose. I prefer not to apply cream blush directly to my face with the applicator. I put it on the back of my hand and use my fingers for correct placement. Otherwise, you could be blending a long time, as some cream blushes are highly pigmented..
Eye Love: No harsh black liners here. I opt for Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Espresso for a softer look – in the lash line, (not the waterline) between the lashes where they meet your lid. Yes, I use a 20x magnifying mirror! Haha! I skip the mascara and use the Shiseido lash curler, but if you like you can add a touch of YSL’s Lash Clash mascara for a false-lash effect.
Finish with a Pout and a Set: My absolute favorite is Violette_FR Bisou Balm in ANY of the five colors and no need for the dreaded lip liner (see my review on the home page). Last, a spritz of Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, and you're ready to dazzle.
